Red Oak Condominiums, Worcester MA
Kopec Contracting jump-started its impressive record of distinctive brownstone renovations in 2003 when tasked by forward thinking Worcester developer Selim LaHoud with the renovation of a historical brick synagogue into 11 condominium units.
The 100 year old building was abandoned in the mid-seventies and suffered a fire in the early nineties that caused extensive structural damage to many areas. The ambitious project presented unique challenges, as the synagogue was listed on the city's historical register. Both the developer and Kopec Contracting worked tirelessly to secure the necessary permits and assure the historical commission they would satisfy the stringent requirements that came along with this conversion.
This 2.2 million project was completed on time and on budget. All of the beautiful condo units are sold and occupied. Kopec Contracting maintains positive, active relations with the owner who is available as a reference.
